About

You are buying two weeks of one person's attention.

CFO Web Studio is the fractional-CFO practice of Mooresville Marketing, a web design and search firm in North Carolina. It is run by Roger Johnson, and he does the work.

Before any of this he spent seventeen years in NASCAR as a car chief and crew chief, which is a job about the same thing every week: find the thing that is quietly costing you, fix it before Sunday, and do not confuse activity with progress. He has also built houses, run a manufacturing and distribution business, and sold it.

That is relevant for one reason. He is not a marketer who found a niche — he is someone who has run small businesses and been the person deciding whether a spend was worth it. When you ask “is this actually going to do anything,” you will get a real answer, including when the answer is no.

Why a separate name

Mooresville Marketing builds for HVAC companies, contractors, towing outfits and dog breeders — local businesses whose customers find them on a phone in a moment of need. That is a real business and it is good at it.

It is also nothing like yours. Your prospects do not find you in a moment of need; they are handed your name by someone they trust. Different problem, different build, so it gets its own name and its own thinking.

Same person doing the work, same standards, same phone number answered by the same human.

And the honest part: CFO Web Studio launched in September 2026, so a fractional CFO practice is not yet on the list of things we have built. You would be early. The build system, the standards and the person are not new — we are happy to walk you through any of the other launches on a call, including what went wrong on them.

How we work

Three commitments, and what they cost us.

We will tell you not to buy

If your practice is not ready for a search programme, or if your existing site is fine and just needs its proof fixed, that is what you will hear. We have talked people out of the bigger package more than once. It costs us money and it is the only way this works.

Two builds a month

Not scarcity marketing — arithmetic. A build is about eight focused hours of construction on top of the positioning work, and doing three would mean doing all of them worse. When the month is full, you wait or you go elsewhere.

We publish our method

The 23-site study names what we measured, what we excluded, and what our tools could not see. If a finding rests on something we could not verify, we say so on the page rather than hoping you do not check.
